Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
NODS Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Seriously Pieceful (seriouslypieceful.com) (the "Site"), including all related content, features, tools, products, and services (the "Services"), to give you, the customer, a curated shopping experience. Seriously Pieceful is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase through the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how we collect, use, and disclose your information.
We care about your privacy — and that goes double for the photos you trust us with. See Section 3 for exactly how we handle those.
1. Personal Information We Collect
When we say "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It doesn't include information that's anonymous or de-identified.
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email address, shipping address, billing address.
- Financial information — payment is handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
- Transaction information — items you view, purchase, return, or exchange, and your order history.
- Your uploaded photo — the image(s) you provide to create your custom puzzle. See Section 3.
- Communications with us — anything you send us, for example through our contact form or by email.
- Device and usage information — device type, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Site, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
We collect this information directly from you (when you check out, upload a photo, or contact us), automatically through your use of the Site, and from service providers who help us run the Services (see Section 4).
We do not currently offer customer accounts — all orders are placed as guest checkout, so we do not collect or store account passwords.
2. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide the Services — process your payment, produce and fulfill your order, arrange shipping, provide order updates, and facilitate any returns, exchanges, or reprints.
- Communicate with you — respond to customer support requests and keep you informed about your order.
- Marketing — send you marketing emails if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. We do not currently send marketing text messages; if that changes, we'll ask for your separate opt-in consent first.
- Advertise — show you relevant ads on other platforms (currently via the Meta/Facebook Pixel) based on your activity on our Site, such as products you've viewed or added to cart.
- Improve and secure the Site — understand usage patterns, detect and prevent fraud, and keep the Services running securely.
- Comply with the law — meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and respond to valid legal requests.
3. Your Uploaded Photos
Your photos get special handling, separate from the rest of your order data:
- We use your uploaded image only to produce and fulfill your order.
- We do not use your image for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose without your separate, explicit consent.
- We do not sell or share your image, except with the printing and production partners strictly necessary to make and ship your puzzle.
If you'd like your image deleted, email us at hello@seriouslypieceful.com.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We only share personal information as needed to run the business:
- Service providers — Shopify (our e-commerce platform), our payment processor, shipping and printing partners, and email/marketing tools, each limited to what they need to do their job.
- Marketing and advertising partners — currently Meta, to support the Pixel-based advertising described in Section 2. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of this kind of activity-based advertising — see Section 7.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers — if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes information about your use of the Services to provide and improve them. Shopify may also use data from your interactions with our store — alongside data from other merchants — to provide certain enhanced features (like fraud prevention and analytics). In these cases, Shopify is responsible for that processing, including responding to your requests about it. Learn more at the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and support the advertising described above. We currently use the Meta Pixel for this purpose.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you're visiting from the EU/UK, note that this may affect which cookies load until you've provided consent, depending on your settings and location.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes in this Policy, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Order records may be kept longer than other data where required for those purposes. Uploaded images are deleted as described in Section 3.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
- Right to know/access — request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct — request that we fix inaccurate information.
- Right to delete — request that we delete your personal information.
- Right to portability — request a copy of your information, or that we transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances.
- Managing marketing preferences — unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime via the link in the email. You may still receive non-promotional emails about your orders.
If you're in the UK or EEA, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it (this won't affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before you withdrew).
If you're a California resident, you may have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information; our use of the Meta Pixel for advertising may be considered "sharing" under some definitions, and you can contact us to opt out of this at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@seriouslypieceful.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
Complaints: If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, contact us first — we'd like the chance to make it right. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels.
9. International Transfers
We're based in the United States, and your information may be processed here and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than where you live. If we transfer personal information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on recognized safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, unless the destination has been deemed to provide adequate protection.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to websites or platforms we don't operate or control. We're not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those sites — review their own policies before sharing information with them.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us, and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised, and we'll provide notice of material changes as required by law.
